Trusting in Timing – Going With The Flow as Performers

hourglass-time-hours-sand-39396-39396.jpgTime. It’s something that goes by so quickly, yet something we can never get back. It can be hard to watch the clock tick by while you wait for your next big break or opportunity to arise as a performer. It’s so easy to become fixated on deadlines and milestones, convinced that success and happiness hinge on meeting them. But what if the key to fulfillment lies not in relentless pursuit but in trusting that everything will come to you at the right time? Embracing the idea that things will fall into place exactly when they’re meant to can be both liberating and transformative.

Perfect Timing: It’s not a myth, it’s divine.

Some people might say that perfect timing is a myth, but I couldn’t agree more. Yes, you might feel frustrated when things don’t happen when you want them to, but I promise that it is all working out the way it is meant to. Just remember that no matter what is happening in this moment, you are on a unique path that will get you to a destination that is meant for you. It isn’t about how fast you get there, as long as you get there!

Embrace Your Own Journey

Find your joy in the process. Yes it can be full of it’s ups and downs and you will feel frustrated at times for not being where you would like to be. You’re human and it’s ok! I want to remind you to be kind to yourself and embrace your journey. Celebrate your wins and learn from the challenges you faced along the way.

Life is not just about reaching the destination but about the experiences and growth along the way.  You can’t grow if there are no challenges in the way. Every step, every problem, every win is a crucial step in your story. Focus on what you can control today, rather than worrying about what might happen tomorrow.

Be kind to yourself. Just because things didn’t work out as planned, at least you gave it your all. Plus, you never know what tomorrow will bring!

Trust The Process – Even When it’s Scary

Here’s a hard part of the process. Trust. Trusting that things will work out the perfect way and you will reap the rewards for treading down a scary, unknown path.

Let go of your expectations and just do what makes you feel good. If acting is what you love, then keep going. Don’t worry about booking every role, or booking the lead part. At the end of the day you are here to tell a story. Don’t let your ego get in the way and keep you from achieving your goal of being a working performer.

Find Your Inspiration

Many people who’ve achieved their dreams or found their purpose did so by trusting in the timing of their journey. Look at the older actors in the industry who never gave up and worked different jobs to get by. There are so many of them and they are such an inspiration! Use their story to motivate your own.

Everything will come to you at the right time and that things will fall into place when they’re meant to. You just have to make the mindset shift and believe it to be true with all your heart! Embrace your journey, trust the process, be kind to yourself and remember that your story is being written in a beautiful way that only the Universe can reveal. Remember, the timing of your journey is uniquely yours, and each moment is an opportunity to grow, learn, and prepare for what’s to come. Trust in the flow of life, and you’ll discover that everything is falling into place exactly as it should.

BONUS: You’ll meet your tribe along the way who will support you, love you and help you achieve your dreams. I know, because it’s been happening to me and I am so grateful for all of the beautiful people coming into my life. You can do a lot on your own, but there’s only so much you can achieve flying solo. Teamwork makes the dream work my friend – never forget it.
